The following letter sent by the NSA to one of the Bahai's explains the state of affairs within the Baha'i community of Bangladesh especially the Bahai elected bodies.Most of the people are only concerned regarding their monetary benefit and least bothered about service to the faith

THE NATIONAL ASSEMBELY IS FUNCTIONING ONLY WITH SIX MEMBERS.

THE THREE MEMBERS ARE SUSPENDED BY THE HOUSE.

THANKS TO COUNSELLOR JABBAR FOR MAKING BAHA’I ELECTIONS ATMOSPHERE PLAYFUL RATHER THAN PRAYFUL.

 

The Baha’i Election Process has lost all  its sanctity and the spirituality which it once upon a time had. Members are lobbying so that they come on the Assembly and become Office Bearers and take control of the treasury.

The counselors under whose supervision the NSA elections are conducted, who are supposed to lead the community and manage the affairs, , who are supposed to be spiritual are doing such tactics which can’t be mentioned . They  just want their own family member or their own person get elected on the National Assembly.

This is turning out more like the political elections where ministers do intense campaign and lobbying to ensure that they come to power.AND once they are in POWER that is the end of realtion between them and their community.

Yes , power is what is NOW  important in the Baha’i Community . Everybody wants to become a post holder be it either the Local Assembly,   National Assembly  or being and ABM. Or counselor.

The recent elections in Bangladesh are a clear example of the same.Where three members of the elected assembely where removed by the Universal House of Justice. This act was done by the HOUSE on complain of Mr. Jabbar Eidelkhani /Mrs. Gloria /Mr. Satish.

The counselor whose own members were not elected is Mr. Jabbar who has made Baha’i Faith his own family affair. Appointing all his famly members and Persian Baha’is on important committees.

These members were later suspended by the UHJ  and the Assembly is working with just 6 people .Indeed a  new Baha’i Adminstrative order where an National Assembely is working with just six members.

WHERE is the PRAYFUL atmosphere which the Baha’is generally talk about.

They just pretend to be PRAYFUL , but in their HEARTS is the intense desire for POWER AND STATUS and they are in fact PLAYFUL

One Fact which was ignored in all this was the Counselors are having their own NEXUS .

There is total lack of coordination, mutual mistrust and confusion among the institution of counselors. Unfortunately, both counselors working with country, are lacking cordial relation. It’s creating confusion among the ABMs. Counselors have no trust on each other’s ABMs. Even they are suspecting them to be a part of the conspiracy.

WHEN THE COUNSELORS ARE LIKE THIS WHAT ONE CAN EXPECT FROM THE ABM or the ASSEMBLY.

The Assembly Members have just emulated their peers , so why should be suspended or be punished .

At this pace and similar happening in other elections all over the world, half the assemblies will get dissolved or be redundant as all the so called ELECTED MEMBERS are under a question.

In a few years we may not find even a single NSA in the world  which gets Elected on Baha’i principles. Then  Infallible UHJ (whose elections are itself doubtful)  will have to appoint NSAs all over the world and still they will send Messages on SANCTITY OF BAHA’I ELECTIONS.

The Bahá'í writings teach that there is but one humanity and all people are equal in the sight of God. The Bahá'í Faith emphasizes the unity of humanity transcending all divisions of race, nation, gender, caste, and social class, while celebrating its diversity.Abdu'l-Bahá states that the unification of mankind has now become "the paramount issue and question in the religious and political conditions of the world”.The Bahá'í writings affirm the biological, political, and spiritual unity of mankind.

While the Bahai religion preaches such UNITY and ONENESS OF MANKIND and LOVE for ech other …

WE FIND THE FOLLOWING WHICH IS QUITE ALARMING :


The institutes in Bangladesh have not moved since the last two-three years,
Even A clusters are stagnant for the last 2 years.

It will take more than a year of intensive work to improve the institute as engine of growth has been stalled.

Lot of financial resources will be required to revive this and this is a heavy drain on the resources.


National Spiritual Assembly 

The National Spiritual Assembly of Bangladesh is in such a state that it is hardly working. It is non-functional and hardly meets only for a day or so.
The members are more concerned about their own activities such as Jabbar Eidelkhani’s wife and sister in law want to take care of their on own clinic.

Mr.Mulk has come on the NSA a and he always keeps on backbiting against the ABMs and has negative feelings about the Counselors , also as he sees them supporting the Board.

Councils

The condition of the councils are even worse off than the above.

Dhaka Council

The lobbying for the Persian believers and their children can be seen from the fact that the Chairperson-Dr.Neda has brought children of all Persian pioneers in CGC.

There is Dr . Bahar- does not understand and a source of lots of problems in the past as their 'Council Representatives

The Secretary is Dr.Jabbar’s  niece who is also a singer in a band , which must be embarrassing for Dr.Jabbar …


The Council members that want to do something are frustrated and put down by others saying they decide outside meeting and come with united voice.

Chittagong Council

There is total neglect on the part of the Council and no work is being done .

There is  ABM –Kamal who is Mulk’s Brother . He is totally lost and has not put efforts to continue work.

Infighting among councilors and other dignitaries
Dr.Jabbar says that “new institute board is trying to do what they do is like showing what old counsellors have done is wrong”.
Dr.Jabbar is getting his relatives and close friends into the NSA , COUNCILS and this has led to widespread criticism from various factions .

Mr.Parvin Malik is trying to do good work and has the support of other councilors and ITC members but with Dr.Jabbar around there is hardly anything which can be done by him.


UNITY forms the base of the Bahai principles and teachings , BUT With the BAHAI’S themselves dong so much of infighting and backbiting in their own country , how can they preach UNITY and how can they aim for WORLD UNITY .

There are no meetings for NSA of Bangladesh. Because all the decessions are taken by Mr and Mrs Jabbar outside the meeting.This is the cause of lots of frustration amongst the local Bahais.

There are more show off than the actual work.

The Persian Bahais are busy with their own business making good money and then sending false reports to UHJ to attract their attention.

Dr Jabbar always criticizes the old counsellors and backbite about them especially with the elevation of Pravin Malik he is very much disalloed with UHJ spreading false informations about UHJ and Mr. Pravin Malik.

Dr Jabbar and other Persian Bahais have loaded the CGC with Persian believers who understand nothing about the Aims and Goals of CGC and hamper the work of Faith.

Preface-Delegate Election

On 10 June 2011, there was a delegate election in the cluster of Rajshahi and Godagari in Rajshahi Bahai centre.

The result of the Unit convention resulted in the election of four clear delegates:
Dr. Saila Eidelkhani,
Dr. Mina Hossaini,
Mr. Eashir Arafat Raju
Mr. Raju Raj sorkar

For the fifth delegate there was a tie amongst three Baha’is as all three got equal number of votes.

There was a reelection amongst these three Baha’is and Mr. M. Rashid got the maximum votes and he was elected as the fifth delegate.

After two days of election the counselor Dr. Jabbar Eidelkhani met Mr. Rashid and he leveled numerous allegations against him. He asked him how was he elected?

Mr. M. Rashid said by the votes of the Baha’is and the election was conducted in your presence, then why are you asking such questions?

Then Mr. Jabbar spread all the ballots in front of Mr. M. Rashid and said find your ballot paper. He did accordingly. After looking at the ballot paper Dr. Jabbar asked him, why has he not given any of his votes to Dr. Saila, Dr. Mina and Dr. Haider?

He answered that your question is against the sanctity of Bahai election so clearly said by the Universal House of Justice. Moreover it is my look out to whom I should vote. I will vote only to those Baha’is whom I feel are sincere matured and active.

He answered that Iranians have scarified so much for the Faith they have migrated from their country and came to this country for propagation of the Bahai Faith, so they deserve to be elected as the delegates and then on the NSA. He further stated that if Bangladeshis were honest and trusted  by UHJ, then they must have been appointed  as the counselor.

Mr. Jabbar was very angry against Mr. Rashid and he was enlisting all the qualities of Persian Baha’is and their sacrifices for the Bahai Faith.

Mr. Rashid said that we do not deny those sacrifices but Bahai Faith is universal and there is no prejudice and all the Baha’is are equal. At this moment Mr. Jabbar smiled and said due you know that Universal House do not trust any Non Persian Baha’is?
After more accusations he asked Mr. Rashid to get out of that place.

On 15th July 2011. The national conversion was organized in the national Bahai centre and instead of Mr. Rashid; Mr. Haider was selected as a delegate. It is clear that Mr. Haider was selected by Dr. Jabbar Eidelikhani. As the national delegate and later on he was selected as a teller also.

The counselor Dr. Jabbar Eidelkhani flouted all the rules of Bahai Elections and he never fails to give big talks on sanctity of Bahai Elections.

He puts all the Persian Baha’is especially his family members on every important committee and they do not work only give big lectures.

We came to following conclusion
1. There is no sanctity in Bahai elections.

2. The Election/selections of the delegates and NSA members are done by counselors with approval of House of Justice.

3. UHJ believes only on Iranian people. If UHJ selects or appoints any non Persian to the post of counselor it is only for public consumption. Just to convey to the Baha’is that UHJ does not believes in equality .A non Persian counselor does not have any say in any matter in any country
.
4. Same is the case of Non Persian NSA members. The decision is taken only by Persian members of the NSA and others have only to approve it.

5. The Counselors and ABMs are ill mannered and ill behaves with the common Baha’is .

6. The same language Impolite, Harsh and humiliating is used in the Letters and Messages of Universal House of Justice.
